What is Accountable?

At Accountable, we believe that achieving HIPAA compliance shouldn't be a daunting task reserved for large corporations with extensive resources. Our mission is to simplify the complexities of compliance, making it accessible and manageable for organizations of all sizes.

Accountable is a compliance software platform founded in 2013, designed to simplify and automate HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance for organizations of all sizes. It aims to make complex compliance requirements accessible and manageable, transforming what can be a tedious process into an engaging experience.

Accountable addresses the challenge of maintaining regulatory adherence, protecting sensitive data like Protected Health Information (PHI), and building customer trust in an increasingly digital and regulated environment. It helps all businesses required to follow healthcare regulations avoid costly violations and fines by providing a comprehensive, all-in-one solution for risk and compliance management.

  • Your Primary Privacy Officer and the Number of Team Members in the platform
  • Company HIPAA Progress tracker
    • Each section in this page represents a section of achieving HIPAA Compliance in our platform. In each section you'll find:
      • Quick links to implement that HIPAA Compliance step
      • A progress tracker per section
      • That the section will auto collapse once it's 100% complete
  • HIPAA Compliance Score
  • HIPAA Seal of Compliance

Top Menu Bar

  • On the left, the Locations Drop Down Menu
    • Here you can view your locations, switch between them, and Add a Location

  • In the top right corner, My Profile where you can update your Profile and the Log Out Button
  • Your Compliance Progress Tracker
    • If not 100%, you have some outstanding items to complete!
  • Your Primary Privacy Officer
    • As an Employee, this is who you should direct all internal HIPAA questions to
  • Incidents Overview Card: where you can find an overview of Incidents
  • Training Overview Card: each Training Course assigned to you will have an overview card on your Dashboard
  • Policies Overview Card: where you can see your Policies Reviewed Count, Policies To be Reviewed Count, and quick links to review outstanding Policies

Top Menu Bar

  • Overview tab: your dashboard. You can also get here by selecting the Accountable Logo in the top right
  • Incidents tab: where you can report Incidents, view a past Incident's Status and details, and add Comments to incidents
  • Policies tab: where you can review Policies, and review already reviewed Policies
  • Training tab: where you can see the Training Courses assigned to you, review them, and take them
  • My Certificates tab: where you can view, download, and share past and current certificates
